Obtained his Medical Degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Dr. Acquavella, is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with melanoma and pancreatic cancer. Dr. He has a special interest in translating novel immunotherapies from the laboratory into first-in-human clinical studies and has vast experience in the preparation of clinical protocols. Due to his experience, Dr. Acquavella supports the design of JCWO’s ConvitVax clinical protocol under the highest international standards. Dr. Acquavella currently serves as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development and Corporate Alliance Management at Kumquat Biosciences Inc., where he leads clinical strategy and partnership development in oncology drug development. Previously, Dr. Acquavella served as Head of Early Clinical Development, Cell Therapies and Solid Tumors at Takeda, where he led early-phase clinical programs in oncology. Prior to that, he worked at Sanofi as Senior Director of R&D Early Clinical Development, Immuno-oncology.
